ALISA MAGALLÓN is a farm girl turned operatic soprano and nationally recognized arts administrator. Her deep understanding of music and storytelling has led her to design dozens of programs and curriculum for major opera companies in the United States. As a performer, teaching artist, mentor, and arts administrator her creations have been consistently shared with thousands of people every year since 2009.Alisa obtained a BA in Music at Luther College and an MM in Vocal Performance at the Bienen School of Music, Northwestern University. She has sung with Chicago Opera Theater, Houston Grand Opera, and Minnesota Opera and her concert & recital work has taken her from the Midwest to Mexico.She is currently the Associate Director of Programming and Engagement at Houston Grand Opera. As a life long learner, she is always open to new collaborations and opportunities to exchange ideas.
